Ukrainian police clearance certificates are proceeded in Kiev and all regional directorates of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine depending on place of stay or residence of an applicant as well as directly at Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine or Main Directorate of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Kiev. At the same time at Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine or Main Directorate of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Kiev it’s possible to get a police clearance certificate irrespective of place of location of an applicant.

Police clearance certificates (police or criminal records) are proceeded from 10 to 1 business days. This document is required both in Ukraine and abroad. For example, it’s obligatory for foreign states offices, citizenship obtainment, some visas, etc. But one should remember that these certificates have a limited validity.

When using a Ukrainian police clearance certificate abroad this document shall have apostille or legalization stamp on it to prove that it’s an original document. Moreover, often this documents with apostille or legalization stamp must bear notarization or notarized certified translation. That’s why it’s much easier and faster to do all this in some translation company (translation agency).
